(Rancho Cucamonga, CA) It’s a family affair; local Inland Empire residents Candice, Mark and Robert Freis are slated to open a unique concept in the beauty industry this fall in Upland, CA.
The 6,500 square foot Couture SalonStudios will feature 30 single and double individual Salon Studios for lease under one roof.
Couture Salon Studios will give individual Hair Stylists, Estheticians or Nail Technicians the independence of operating their own salon business in a stylish, professional, and fully managed facility. They have the freedom to set their own schedule; design their own space – reflecting their own personality– and the ability to develop their individual brand while enjoying the benefits of independent salon ownership for a fraction more than the price of renting a chair.

Couture Salon Studios is planning a free wine tasting mixer, video tour, informal question & answer session, model view of a studio setting and opportunity drawing on August 19th from 5-7pm at Doubletree Hotel, Claremont. About the Owners:
Ms. Freis is an Upland, California native. She became interested in hair styling in after many years trying to find the right cut and treatment for her own naturally curly hair. This led her to desire to help others in hair care specialization. After completion of Salon Success Academy, she worked in a traditional salon for a proprietor. While there, she realized a need for self-promotional marketing support, more access to sell salon products, andprivacy. “Working in an open environment, everyone could hear what was being said – from politics to personal matters.” said Ms. Freis.
She then moved from the traditional salon to a studio setting, where she leased her space and was her own proprietor. While there she saw areas within the studio operations she felt could be improved – such as education and interior features that enhance the customer and stylist experience – giving her the idea to open her own business with husband, Mark Freis, an accountant, and father-in-law, Robert Freis, a local businessman. “Salons frequently promise the sun and the moon to their stylists, but do not always deliver,” said Ms. Freis. “Couture Salon Studios promises the consistency of business and marketing support.”
Ongoing education will be offered through Couture Salon Services on topics such as:
· Use of Social Media in Marketing
· Haircut and Color Trends
· Skin Care and Nail Applications
· Business Development & Client Retention
Having roots in Upland, and well connected to its established community, the Freis family made the selection to start the business there. Couture Salon Studios will be located at 141 West Foothill Boulevard, Suite C in Upland and projected opening of Fall 2013. The Freis are in the midst of design and renovation of their new site – sparing no expense on quality and detail. The décor will consist of hardwood floors, chandelier lighting and wall sconces. It will have a stylish appeal. There will be a receptionist/salon coordinator and two lounge areas with gourmet coffee, tea, and water available for patrons. “We want to provide our customers a comfortable one-stop shop for their hair, nails and cosmetic experience,” said Ms. Freis.
Currently, Couture Salon Studios is reaching out to Hair Stylists, Estheticians and Nail Technicians who are interested in the learning about the benefits of independent salon ownership and all of the educational and business support Couture Salon Studios will offer.
