March Field Air Museum to Host Welcome Home Vietnam Vets Celebration

Riverside California – The 7th annual “Welcome Home Vietnam Vets Celebration” will be held on Saturday, March 19th, at the March Field Air Museum.

Free admission to Vietnam Veterans and their families.

The official program will start at noon and a free lunch will be severed to their immediate Families.

On September 25, 2009 Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, accompanied by General Assembly member Paul Cook and founder Jose Ramos, to sign AB717 which establishes a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day in California every March 30. March Field Air Museum has sponsored its own annual celebration since 2009.

Major John Sherman, USAF (Ret) will be this year’s keynote speaker. Major Sherman was a B- 52 aircraft commander during the latter part of the war.  The program will also include the LAPD Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps.

Vietnam Veteran and museum staff member, Mikey Diaz states that “this is a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to those who never made it home and to honor those who did make it home and their families”

March Field Air Museum’s regular museum admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 5 to 11, open Tuesday through Sunday. Located at 22550 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside CA 92518.
