McKeon Applauds House Republicans’ Plan for America’s Job Creators

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) today made the following statement regarding the newly launched House Republicans’ Plan for America’s Job Creators:

“With economic uncertainty still resting on Americans’ shoulders, I’m committed to advocating for policies that promote growth and bring jobs back to the 25th district of California. The House Republicans’ ‘Plan for America’s Job Creators’ does exactly that: encouraging entrepreneurship and business growth, reducing regulatory burdens placed on our nation’s small business owners, and paying down the nation’s unsustainable debt.

“The plan also addresses the need to increase domestic energy production to pursue energy independence. It is time that we expand our resources at home to promote lower energy prices through increased domestic production. American’s are faced with tough choices at home because of skyrocketing gas prices, and ‘Plan for America’s Job Creators’ will help relieve families of rising prices at the pump.

“Earlier this month, I asked business owners to tell me what overly burdensome regulations are holding them back from being prosperous. I am still seeking feedback and am listening to the concerns and input I receive.  It is important that our nation’s businesses have the opportunity to flourish, and have a meaningful chance to succeed, without government intrusion or overregulation.  Washington should be helping get our economy back on track, not stand in the way of growth and job creation.”

NOTE: McKeon and his colleagues are seeking input from American businesses across the country, including the 25th Congressional District, Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley, Victor Valley, and Inyo and Mono Counties, on any government regulations that are making growth more difficult.
