McKeon Joins USO to Prepare Care Packages for Troops

Congressman serves as co-chair of Congressional USO Caucus

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (CA-25), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and co-chairman of the Congressional USO Caucus, joined the USO and other members of congress to help fill 2,000 care packages for troops overseas:

“We had a fantastic morning today filling up packages for the USO to send to the troops.  This comes just Memorial Day approaches and as the country prepares to honor those we lost.  As one of the co-chairs of the USO Congressional Caucus, alongside Representative Jeff Miller of Florida, we work hand-in-hand with the USO to support the troops and their families day in and day out.  The USO is a great organization and I appreciate what they are doing for those serving our country.  It is my hope that these packages bring some comfort and joy to those serving across the seas, away from their family and friends, in order to ensure our American homeland is safe and secure.”
