McKeon Statement on 9/11 Anniversary

Washington, D.C. – House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon made the following statement in observance of the twelfth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:

“Today is a day of solemn remembrance. Twelve years ago, thousands of our fellow citizens perished in a cowardly and heinous attack. I join my fellow Americans in prayer as we recall the memory of those who fell on that fateful day. And I offer my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Americans and their families who have defended our country these past twelve years. This is a day to remember the victims, the families, and our brave service members who are still standing their posts, and still standing their ground.”
