Moon Party at the County Museum

Members of the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers will set up their telescopes for a Moon Party at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands on Saturday evening, August 25, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. Club members will bring several sizes and types of telescopes, ranging from refractors to reflectors to ‘compound’ optics, to share close-up views of the night sky. This event, suitable for all ages, is free to the public.

“We’ll be looking at a stunning first-quarter moon,” said Chris Clarke, San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers, “with incredible detail standing out almost three-dimensionally.”

The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. Parking is free. For more information, visit www.sbcountymuseum.org. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
