Multi-Community Recruitment Event Set Local Employers To Offer More Than 4,500 Jobs

Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Final preparations are being made for the 2010 Inland Empire West End Job Fair – Local Jobs for Local Residents, which is anticipated to be the largest employment event held in the Inland Empire this year.  The job fair will take place on Thursday, October 28th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the LA/Ontario International Airport (Old Terminal 1 Building).

More than 120 employers will be providing more than 4,500 employment opportunities in the areas of professional/managerial, technical, clerical, medical, retail, service, hospitality, sales, security, law enforcement and more.  The multi-city event is aimed at connecting local residents with local employers. Admission and parking are free.

Last year, the Inland Empire West End Job Fair drew approximately 95 employers and more than 3,000 job seekers.  The event was planned to help residents in the west end of San Bernardino County find full time and part time employment, and the majority of the attendees came from the communities hosting the job fair.  The 2010 Inland Empire West End Job Fair will garner the participation of additional employers that are offering positions in and around the Inland Empire.

Some of the employers registered for this year’s event include Cal State San Bernardino, Eddie Bauer, Express, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Finesse Staffing, Gentex Corporation, Goodwill Industries of Southern California, Integrated Digital Technologies, JC Penny, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores, Lewis Group of Companies, Los Angeles Police Department, JR Medical, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Nongshim America, Oporto Restaurant, Rancho Specialty Hospital, Save-A-Lot Food Stores, Southwest Exclusive Protection, The HdL Companies, Time Warner Cable, Torrid, United Parcel Service, U.S. Border Patrol and Visiting Angels Senior Homecare.  A complete listing of employers, additional information about the event and a job fair flyer can be found atwww.RCRDA.us/JobFair.

The Inland Empire West End Job Fair is a multi-community collaborative effort that is being coordinated by the west-end cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga and Upland; County of San Bernardino Workforce Investment Board; LA/Ontario International Airport; Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce; First Presbyterian Church of Upland; Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and KSPA Radio. The event is also receiving additional support from Senator Gloria Negrete Mcleod, as well as San Bernardino County Supervisors Gary Ovitt and Paul Biane.
