INLAND EMPIRE, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2013) –Giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate is an important part of celebrating the holiday season. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, members of NAIOP Inland Empire donated $5,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank in Riverside to cover the cost of 40,000 meals, which will ensure that hundreds of inland families in need will have food for the holidays. More than 35 members also spent the day helping package and sort 2,000 lbs. of holiday food donations. This is the second consecutive year the chapter has donated money and volunteered time to the food bank.
“The NAIOP Inland Empire Chapter is proud to contribute again this year to the Second Harvest Food Bank,” said Kim Snyder, 2013 NAIOP Inland Empire President and Southwest Region President at Prologis. “Our chapter applauds the quiet contributions of its members and sponsors for this meaningful charity whose objectives are consistent with this chapter’s values.”
