NAIOP Inland Empire Members Convene For Children's Charity

NAIOP INLAND EMPIRE MEMBERS CONVENE FOR CHILDREN’S CHARITY
Professionals Time, Talent, and Treasury Will Benefit Steven’s Hope for Children

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.  – Maintaining its mission to support the local community, the NAIOP Inland Empire chapter has planned a Community Give Back event that will provide some much needed aid to the families of seriously ill or injured children. Scheduled for Thursday, April 26, a dedicated group of busy real estate professionals will be spending all or a portion of their day at The Children’s Boutique at Steven’s Hope (10730 Foothill Blvd., Suite #170, Rancho Cucamonga) helping out in any way they can – doing everything from collecting donations to assembling gift baskets to writing get well cards.

“At NAIOP we recognize the pivotal role the local community plays in our members’ success,” said John Magness of Hillwood Investments, who is currently serving as president of the region’s premier commercial real estate association. “Giving back to our neighbors has always been a priority. Assisting a group like Steven’s Hope is exceptionally rewarding because we know our energy and efforts will benefit families that are in need in our own backyard.”

Headquartered in Upland, Calif., Steven’s Hope for Children provides hope and support to families of seriously ill or injured children. Providing housing – the organization has three furnished apartments located near the Loma Linda Hospital – and other daily essentials, the non-profit organization helps families through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

“It is both a privilege and a pleasure to take a few hours out of the hectic commercial real estate cycle to give hands-on help to a grassroots Inland Empire charity,” said Mary Sullivan of Sullivan Consulting Services, who along with Jeff Trenton of Proficiency Capital LLC, currently serve as the professional organization’s Community Service Co-Chairs.

Considering the volatile state of today’s economy, the extent of Inland Empire’s NAIOP’s philanthropic activities is quite admirable. In 2012, the organization has made significant donations of time, treasury, and talent to groups as diverse as the Redlands Boys & Girls Club, Special Operations Warriors Foundation, Steven’s Hope for Children, and more events are in the planning stages.
