NFIB/California Announces Endorsement of Mike Morrell in Assembly District 40

SACRAMENTO, CA – The National Federation of Independent Business/California SAFE Trust announced its endorsement of Mike Morrell in California Assembly District 40. The organizations endorsement comes from NFIB’s California Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust, the organization’s political action committee, and is based on voting records (when applicable) and positions on key small business issues to evaluate the candidates’ views on legislative issues affecting small business.

“Mike Morrell has been a strong advocate for small business,” said John Kabateck, NFIB/CA Executive Director. “Mike understands the challenges our members face and is working to ensure that small businesses can do what they do best – create jobs and stimulate the economy.”

“I’ve been an independent business owner for over 34 years and have witnessed first hand the stifling effect our State’s legislature has had on small businesses.” stated Morrell. “Businesses are fleeing our state in droves and private sector job creation is at an all time low in a state that has plentiful resources, we should be leading the pack. I’m grateful to recieve the endorsement from the NFIB. Small businesses are California’s economic backbone and they deserve better from us.”

Mike and his wife, Joanie, have been married for 34 years and together they have three children, Kristen, David, and Matthew. Kristen is an alumna of the Claremont Graduate School, David is a Yale Law School graduate, and Matthew attends Hillsdale College. Mike is deeply involved in the community and has served on the boards of Building Industry Association, the Rancho Cucamonga YMCA, and the advisory board of the Gary Anderson School of Business at UC Riverside.

Mike is an experienced businessman who cares about the direction of our state and our country.
