Off the Wall is Back!

Riverside CA – The Riverside Art Museum will be overrun with “moose” during the Totally Carried Away & OFF THE WALL Art Sale that begins on Friday, December 6, with a Jolly Moose Jamboree. The art sale then continues for nine more days, December 7 – 15, with hundreds of pieces of original art and handicrafts available. The “moose” theme will be apparent as the museum will be decorated in Northwest décor for the holidays.

“Yes, moose in Riverside is a bit off the wall,” Art Alliance President, Jean Aklufi, says, “but OFF THE WALL is an enormous art sale, so the moose is the perfect mascot.”

Totally Carried Away & OFF THE WALL is an art sale like no other. All art is original work by local artists and is priced at $100, $200, and $300. All pieces are framed and ready to take “off the wall” and hang up in your home or give as a gift. In addition to the sale of ready-to-hang art, there will also be a Holiday Pop-Up Boutique during the show. Several dozen local artists will be selling unique items of their creation from jewelry, ceramics, mosaics,  fiber artwork, and metal and paper pieces. During Totally Carried Away and OFF THE WALL, there will also be artist demonstrations.

The art show and sale is a fundraiser for the Riverside Art Museum. “We thank the Art Alliance for their hard work to organize this popular event”, says Drew Oberjuerge, Executive Director of the Riverside Art Museum. “The funds generated help the museum accomplish its mission-driven work and support our local artists. We encourage the community to come check it out and find a piece of art for themselves or a loved one.” A percentage of all sales go to the Riverside Art Museum to maintain their art exhibitions and education programs; the rest goes to the artists. The fundraiser is a project of the Riverside Art Alliance, an organization of dedicated volunteers who raise money for the museum.

The festivities begin on Friday, December 6, with the Jolly Moose Jamboree kick-off party. Admittance is $25 per person. Guests will enjoy bluegrass music, ‘moose’ wine, and lots of edibles as they shop for art and handicrafts. The Pop-Up Boutique will also be open.
