Office of Business Development presents workshop on business funding

Entrepreneurs have several financing options to help them launch a new business

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (Feb. 8,  2011) — The City of San Bernardino, Economic Development Agency, Office of Business Development is hosting a workshop that will focus on alternative business funding from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9. The workshop will be held at the Office of Business Development, 201-B N. E Street, Suite 200, in San Bernardino.

The seminar will be taught by Steve Halen of Mytradeamerica.com, an online bartering service. The workshop will focus on alternative financing strategies such as factoring, small business loans and pay advances on credit card sales.

Lori Tillery, economic development manager, said, “The economic slowdown has forced many people to start their own businesses. Many new entrepreneurs are finding one of the toughest aspects of running a business is raising capital. This workshop will educate entrepreneurs about funding alternatives they may have not considered.”
