CITY OF ONTARIO ANNOUNCES YARD SALES DATES FOR 2012
The City of Ontario is pleased to announce that the next citywide yard (garage) sale weekend is August 3, 4, and 5, 2012 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). If rainy conditions exist on that Friday or Saturday, an alternate yard sale may be held on Friday, August 10, Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. The next yard sale weekend will be November 2, 3, and 4, 2012. In 2010, the City adopted a yard sale ordinance giving residents the opportunity to hold more sales each year on fixed dates and eliminating the need for yard sale permits and fees. The rules for signs (one 6 square foot sign on the owner’s property) and rules for merchandise sold (seller’s personal property only, no new or re-sold goods) will remain unchanged.
