Ontario Library Events: Teen Fest & Epic Fables and Tales

ONTARIO TEEN BOOK FEST 2016

On Saturday, March 12, at 9:30 AM the Ontario City Library will host Teen Book Fest 2016, where teens and books meet, at Colony High Branch Library & Colony High School.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet 15 of today’s best young adult authors through a series of keynote presentations, author panels and more. The event will kick off with three keynote speakers and continue into the afternoon with multiple author panels.

Keynotes will feature award winning and critically acclaimed authors Jay Asher (“13 Reasons Why”), Andrew Smith (“Grasshopper Jungle”) and Marissa Meyer (“Lunar Chronicles”).  Elana K. Arnold, Alexis Bass, Virginia Boecker, Jessica Brody, Stephanie Diaz, B. T. Gottfred, Kristin Halbrook, Michelle Levy, Nicole Maggi, Mary McCoy, Alexandra Monir and April Tucholke are among the featured authors that will be participating in this annual event.  A book signing will take place at 3:15 PM.  Books will be available for purchase through Once Upon a Time book store and the Friends of the Ontario City Library.

The event will take place in the Colony High Auditorium on the campus of Colony High School located at 3850 E. Riverside Drive.  Doors open at 9:00 AM.  This program is free to all ages.  For more information please call (909) 395-2225 or visit www.ontariotbf.org.

EPIC FABLES AND TALES AT OVITT FAMILY COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Join the Ontario City Library for a story time of tales that celebrate diversity and different cultures of the past, present and future of the country and the world.  This program is for families of all ages and will be on the first Monday of every month on February 1, March 7, April 4, and May 2 from 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM.
