Overview of Grant Proposal and Program Development Workshop Offered

As funding cutbacks persist in the non-profit and public sectors, organizations must seek new funding sources for their programs.  That’s one reason why demand for grant writers continues to increase.  For anyone interested in a new career or becoming a more valuable employee, the College of Extended Learning at Cal State University, San Bernardino offers “Grant Proposal Planning and Program Development.” The workshop is the first of eight in the College of Extended Learning’s popular Certificate in Grant Development and Management.  This introductory workshop provides an overview of the grant development process, information on funding opportunities, model programs and best practices, and includes the review of a Request for Application (RFA).

The workshop fee is $140 per person (including class materials) and will be held on Sat., Sept. 25, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Yasuda Center.  Enrollment is limited to ensure hands-on instruction. The deadline to register is September 17.

To register for this workshop or obtain information about other course offerings, contact Carol Galvan at (909) 537-3910, or e-mail her at cgalvan@csusb.edu.
