Overview of Grant Writing Workshop Offered

During economic downturns, organizations must seek new funding sources. That’s one reason why demand for grant writers continues to increase. For anyone interested in a new career in 2011 or becoming a more valuable employee, the College of Extended Learning at California State University, San Bernardino offers “Grant Proposal Planning and Program Development” on Sat., Jan. 22. The workshop is the first of eight in the College of Extended Learning’s popular Certificate in Grant Development and Management. This introductory workshop provides an overview of the grant development process, information on funding opportunities, model programs and best practices, and includes the review of a Request for Application (RFA).

The workshop is $140 per person (including class materials and .6 Continuing Education Units) and will be held on Sat., Jan. 22, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Yasuda Center. Enrollment is limited, and advance registration is required.
