PALM DESERT: Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center Announces “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Series for Women”

COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER ANNOUNCES SEMI-ANNUAL CITI BANK “IT’S YOUR TIME” PROGRAM FOR WOMEN

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring has begun taking applications for its semi-annual collaboration with Citi bank, “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Series for Women”.

The program, funded by Citi bank, includes a series of a minimum of ten workshops, including a business plan writing series, four counseling sessions, and requires that the participants submit a completed business plan to CVWBC. The series is geared toward providing the participants with a strong foundation of knowledge and a business plan to utilize, in order to build thriving, sustainable businesses, the cornerstone of CVWBC’s mission.

Deadline for application submission is August 9, 2012 at 5 p.m. A partial schedule of required workshops is available with the application, located online at www.cvwbc.org.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The CVWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners.
The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.
