COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR CITI BANK COLLABORATION, “IT’S YOUR TIME” PROGRAM FOR WOMEN

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring is extending the application deadline for its semi-annual collaboration with Citi bank, “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Series for Women” to August 16.

The program, funded by a grant from Citi bank, includes a minimum of ten workshops, including a business plan writing series, four counseling sessions, and requires that the participants submit a completed business plan to CVWBC. The intent of the program is to provide participants with a strong foundation of business knowledge, savvy business counseling, and a viable business plan to utilize in order to build thriving, sustainable businesses, the cornerstone of CVWBC’s mission.

Past participants in the program have successfully started or expanded businesses such as an optometry practice, a retail store specializing in items for special needs children, a family-owned sports equipment business, several internet based businesses – even a mobile food wagon.
