PALM DESERT: Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center Presents “Common Legal Mistakes Of New Employers”
COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER PRESENTS “COMMON LEGAL MISTAKES OF NEW EMPLOYERS” WITH JESSICA ALBERT
PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring, will present, “Common Legal Mistakes of New Employers” on Tuesday, July 10.
This workshop will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the CVWBC office at 77806 Flora Road, Suite A, just off the 10 freeway in Palm Desert. The cost for the workshop is $15 with online registration; $20 at the door.
Participants will learn how to prevent rather than defend a lawsuit, and the workshop will include a general overview of laws pertaining to wage and hour requirements, independent contractors, immigration, and discrimination.
Facilitator Jessica Albert, Attorney at Law, of Albert Law Group, specializes in civil litigation, real estate law, contracts, landlord/tenant law, business transactions, wills, trusts, family law, employment law and bankruptcy, and has recently added securities and immigration to her folio. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at Redlands University and her Law Degree at the University of La Verne. She has a thriving practice in Palm Desert.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.
The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.
The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
