PALM DESERT: Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center Presents Part Two Of Three Part Social Media Series

COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER PRESENTS PART TWO OF THREE PART SOCIAL MEDIA SERIES

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring will present part two in a series on social media on Thursday, June 14.

This series takes place at the CVWBC office at 77806 Flora Road, Suite A, just off the 10 freeway in Palm Desert. The cost for the series is $40 with online registration; $15 for each individual workshop.

In part two of the series, “Blogging to Create, Engage, and Retain and Audience – How to Write it Right”, participants will learn how set up a blog and drive customers back to your website with creative posting. Information regarding how to use Facebook and Twitter accounts to drive traffic to the blog, how to engage clients, and how to tie the blog posts to website and Facebook pages will be discussed.

Part three of the series will deal with Twitter and HootSuite. The series is designed to tie all elements together to give participants a social media presence that has continuity and flow.

Facilitator Brian Rouley, Vice President of Operations of Rouzell Enterprises, Inc. has worked in corporations as large as Lockheed Martin before starting his own company. His affinity for social media has expanded his expertise from simply solving computer issues to assisting people to set up social media networks.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.

The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The CVWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for, but not limited to, women business owners.
