PALM DESERT: Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center Presents “The ABCs of Starting Your Own Business”

COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER PRESENTS “ABC’S OF STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS” JULY 28

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring will present “The ABCs of Starting Your Own Business” on Saturday, July 28.

The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the center’s office, 77-806 Flora Road, Suite A, off Washington and the 10 freeway in Palm Desert. There is no cost for the workshop.

The free workshop will be an interactive discussion on the role an entrepreneur takes in starting a business.

Participants will receive contact information for the myriad of government and business entities that are part of the start-up process. The workshop will also provide information about available funding sources for local existing and aspiring small business owners.

Facilitator for the workshop is Synthea Hill, a longtime local business owner with extensive experience in accounting and as a paralegal.

The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only.

The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The CVWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for, but not limited to, women business owners.
