Media Tasting & Press Conference Set for July 12th

PALM SPRINGS, CA – The world’s “hottest” competition is set to arrive in Palm Springs in October 2013—it’s the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff, sponsored by Spa Resort Casino. The International Chili Society sanctioned event will bring together hundreds of self-described “Chiliheads” to compete for the title of “World’s Best Chili Cook”, an event that typically attracts 20,000 attendees, and includes a prize package worth $55,000!

WHAT: Chili Tasting and Press Conference (not open to public – media only)
Event will feature “Shotgun Willie Chili” tasting, officials from the City of Palm Springs, Spa Resort Casino, and the International Chili Society.

WHEN: Thursday, July 12th at 11:00am (media asked to arrive by 10:45am)
