The skywriting demonstration begins at noon, following the formal unveiling of the new stamp at 10 a.m. The sky-blue stamp is part of the U.S. Postal Service’s “Love” series, and will be issued at the forever price of 47 cents.

The stamp will be available at the museum that day. The first 300 visitors will receive free entry to the museum.

“We’re thrilled that Chino Airport has been selected to host this national unveiling of our newest stamp, and to help celebrate the history of skywriting as a form of art and expression. It’s the perfect setting, with our great weather, blue skies and panoramic views,” said San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman, whose 4th District includes Chino.

The “Love Skywriting” stamp is one of two new releases by the Postal Service. A “Year of the Rooster” forever stamp will be unveiled in a first-day ceremony Jan. 5 in Seattle.
