During the dinner each business’ profile was presented and the owners were presented with a plaque and gift commemorating their month as “Business of the Month”. This was followed by a social time where the business leaders mingled to congratulate each other and consider the possibilities of using each other’s services to keep the business in the local community.
The Business of the Month program began in 2004. Since then more than 150 businesses have been honored with the title. Each month one business from Corona and one business from Riverside are selected by a panel including the CEO, marketing director and business bankers. The businesses are chosen based on their success, innovative ways they have grown their business, their plans for the future and the public’s interest in such as a business.
Business of the Month recipients are given free advertising courtesy of Premier Service Bank. The chosen company is displayed in the bank lobbies on tradeshow booth set-ups, through direct mailing marketing, local newspaper stories, magazine ads, the bank’s website, radio ads and even TV commercial spots. The owner of the selected company, and sometimes even the entire staff, is treated to lunch by the CEO of Premier Service Bank. All of these create a viable opportunity for the selected businesses to grow as well as get to better know their friendly neighborhood bankers. A modern day “pay it forward” system, the Business of the Month program has helped numerous local businesses grow and prosper.
