Project Puppy Love

A fun activity for people and their dogs to raise donations for YAPS, our community no-kill animal shelter at Wildwood Park in Yucaipa.

The event hosted by Lion’s Pride, a Destination Imagination team from Inland Leaders Charter School on Saturday, February 15th from 8:00 am to noon.

There will be a fun run at 8 am and a short hike at 9 for dogs and people.

Throughout, the activities there will be a bake sale with homemade treats for dogs and people.

The run/walk will be 2 laps around the park fence… just under 2 miles.

The main hike will be a 1.3 mi loop on the “MJB” trail to the top of the hills on the South side of the park. The views & natural scenery are spectacular! There are short sections of steep trail on both the assent and descent and it is considered a moderately difficult hike. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes. There is plenty of shade along the rout but the sun will be shining so bring water and SPF. The hike duration will be an hour and a half although the kids did it in 40 mins.
