Washes and Layers: The Life and Art of Don O’Neill, July 14 – September 19, 2011
The first retrospective exhibition to be held at an art institution since O’Neill’s passing in 2007, Washes and Layers pays homage to a locally and nationally-renowned legend of watercolor.
Roger White / Josh Blackwell, July 2 – September 22, 2011
LA-based Curator James Bae highlights two emerging contemporary artists whose works both deal with the artistic transformation of common objects: White’s through the lens of painting and Blackwell’s through his ‘Plastic Bag’ embroidered hangings.
Riverside native and contemporary artist Angela Beloian explores compelling ideas of conflict in the relationships that her cropped, fractured and amorphous collage-paintings create.
