Reach Out Celebrates 50 Years Of Serving The Inland Empire With Annual National Innovative Communities Conference And Gala on June 18th

Upland, Calif. – To celebrate five decades of serving youth and families in the Inland Empire, Reach Out will hold its 50th Anniversary Gala the evening of Tuesday, June 18 as a highlight to its annual National Innovative Communities Conference taking place on Tuesday, June 18 and Wednesday June 19 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California.

“This is our 10th Annual National Innovative Communities Conference. It continues to be the only conference in Southern California that promotes innovative, cutting-edge strategies to help build healthy and equitable communities,” said Diana Fox, Executive Director of Reach Out. “Over the years, this conference has offered attendees resources and opportunities to make connections to create safe, vibrant, and innovative places to live and work in the Inland Empire.”

The conference theme for this year is “Leadership. Action. Legacy” and will feature speakers Ken Seeley and Mary Parks. Seeley was a star cast member on the Emmy Award winning A&E television series Intervention and is the founder of Intervention911.  During the lunch plenary session on Tuesday, he will share his personal experiences about recovery and addiction along with his secret to overcoming addictive behaviors and achieving success in your daily life.  The Keynote Speaker on Wednesday will be Emmy Award winning journalist Mary Parks. She is the central Los Angeles Bureau Chief at Spectrum News as well as creator and host of “American Spirit”, a weekly PBS television series. Parks will deliver a motivational talk about leadership and perseverance when it appears the odds are against you.

Following the first day of the conference, a 60’s themed gala will be held to celebrate Reach Out’s 50th anniversary. Illusionist Mark Paskell will perform as the Master of Ceremonies, peppering the evening with humor and magic. Classic rock band Dynamite Dawson will provide live music featuring hits from 1969.

“We’ve been helping to create innovative community partnerships in Riverside and San Bernardino counties for the past five decades,” said Fox. “We want to celebrate with all of the individuals who have generously supported us over the years and raise funds to continue our mission for another 50 years.”
