Redlands: Lecture, "All That Sparkles!"

On Sunday, May 15, Curator of Geology J. Chris Sagebiel will present a lecture, “All That Sparkles Isn’t Gold,” at the San Bernardino County Museum at 2pm. This program is included in paid museum admission.

“Mining is of great economic importance to our county and has been an important part of the history of the southwestern United States,” said Sagebiel. “In this lecture, I will present an overview of our Hall of Geological Wonders exhibit on regional mineral resources where we will discuss the economic mineral resources that are so important to our county. Gravel and sand? They may not be the ones you think!”

The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays and holiday Mondays from 9am to 5pm. Admission is $8 (adult), $6 (military or senior), $5 (student) and $4 (child aged 5 to 12).
