Redlands, CA – The 10th Annual R.U.F.F. Ride & Walk is coming up Sunday, 28 April. This event is a fun event for walkers, casual and serious cyclists, and animal lovers of all stripes.
The R.U.F.F. Ride & Walk is the main fundraising event each year for R.U.F.F. (Redlands Unleashed Fidos & Friends), a 501c3 organisation dedicated to helping animals in need as well as promoting the human-animal bond.
Subsequent to the founding of the Redlands Dog Park, some of the projects that R.U.F.F. has been able to support have included:
- funding for projects to local rescues/volunteer groups such as BARC, YAPS, SoCal GSP Rescue, Angels for Animals, Redlands Humane Society, and REDFOSA
- providing for spay/neuter services through a voucher program at the Redlands Animal Shelter and through Daisy’s Hope Spay/neuter initiative
- microchips, food, medications and enrichment supplies for shelter animals at the Redlands and San Bernardino shelters
- assisting the San Bernardino Animal Care Foundation as they strive to help SB Shelter animals
- Oxygen masks and canine first aid kits for Redlands Animal Control and RPD (in conjunction with Enlighten Dog Training)
All proceeds from the 10th Annual R.U.F.F. Ride & Walk go to benefit animals through these efforts.
This year the 10th Annual R.U.F.F. Ride & Walk is powered by Don’s and is being held in conjunction with Don’s Bicycles 60th Anniversary Celebration. Don’s will have all kinds of fun cycling events and vendors on Saturday the 27th, and the R.U.F.F. Ride & Walk will be on Sunday with animal-related
vendors.
