Charles McCammon Jr. M.D. Joins Visiting Nurse Association Medical Leadership to Advocate for Palliative Care

 
Riverside, CA  – Charles McCammon, Jr. M.D. has joined the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of the Inland Counties as Medical Director. Dr. McCammon brings rich experience in Family Practice, Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Care to the agency. With a penchant for active listening and a love for “making house calls,” McCammon will oversee the efforts of Medical Directors and physicians in the Agency’s eight offices.

 

“We are thrilled that Dr. McCammon has chosen to join us,” commented Mike Rusnak, CEO of the VNA. VNA is poised for growth, especially in the areas of Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. McCammon most recently spent a year as a Palliative Care Consultant at one of the largest Medical centers in New Zealand. “Dr. McCammon’s experience with Palliative Care will help us fine-tune our service delivery and showcase the continuum of care that we provide in the communities we serve.”

Rusnak added, “As our population ages and lives longer, the need for in-home skilled nursing is on the rise. A native of Southern California, Dr. McCammon is Board Certified in Family Practice, Geriatrics, and Hospice and Palliative Care. He is fluent in Spanish and has Medical Degrees from both Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara and the University of Southern California, School of Medicine.
