Riverside Community Health Foundation (RCHF) is excited to announce the return of our 2012 Annual Celebration to the rooftop of Walter’s Automotive Group’s Porsche/Audi Building located at 3210 Adams Street, Riverside, California. At this year’s event, called “Cruisin Under the Stars,” RCHF will celebrate its 15th birthday! The event will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. The evening will feature a delicious buffet dinner by the Food Matters, wine tasting sponsored by La Bodega Wine & Spirits, live music by local band Lucky Cricket, a car show, and silent/live auctions. Major sponsors for the event included Borrego Health and Riverside Community Hospital.
At “Cruisin’ Under the Stars” RCHF will be raising funds for two worthy causes. The organization will use a portion of the proceeds to start a brand new vision outreach program. The program will provide free or reducedcost glasses to area children in need. Imagine the impact a pair of glasses can have on a child with poor vision? With glasses the world comes into focus – words are easier to read and baseballs easier to hit. For just $40, you can provide a child with a pair of glasses and a brand new outlook on life.
RCHF will also be raising funds to buy a patient transportation vehicle for their Arlanza Family Health Center and Eastside Health Center. The two community health centers facilitate over 30,000 patient visits a year. These community clinics provide high-quality, low-cost medical and dental services to Riverside’s uninsured and underinsured populations, which often have difficulty accessing reliable transportation. This vehicle will provide patients free transportation to and from their appointments! 100 percent of the funds raised at the event will go to these two projects.
Tickets for the event are $100. RCHF also offers a young patrons discount — tickets are only $60 for those 35 and under. To buy your ticket, call 951.788.3471. Reservations are requested by September 14th, 2012.
RCHF is also selling opportunity tickets for a chance to win $500. Tickets are $10 for 1, $20 for 3, and $50 for 8. Tickets can be purchased by calling 951.788.3471, from and RCHF staff member, or at “Cruisin’ Under the Stars.” You do not have to be present at the celebration to win.
