The senseless murder of Officer Ryan Bonaminio of Riverside Police Department
on November 7th has many of us not only asking “why?” but also “how can we help?”
The brave men and women of the Riverside Police Department put their lives in danger
every day. Their service to our community often goes unseen and is often taken
for granted.
Let’s prove to them that their service may go unseen but is certainly not forgotten. As RPD
lays a coworker and friend to rest next week, lets lift them up and remind them they
are appreciated, more than they know. You can do this in three easy steps:
- Send a Thank You letter/card to the main police office downtown by Thanksgiving.
- Send this to as many of your family, friends and colleagues in Riverside as possible (share on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=161209047251914)
- Say “thank you” to every officer you come in contact (even if they’re writing you a ticket)
“Silent gratitude isn’t very much to anyone.” – Gertrude Stein
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” – William Arthur Ward
Action. By Thanksgiving. What are you waiting for?
