Riverside to Host Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Statewide Convention

Inland Region to host thousands of Latino Business Owners and Professionals During Hispanic Heritage Month

Riverside, CA – The 37th Annual Statewide Convention of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce will be held September 21-23, 2016 at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California. This year’s convention theme, Innovation Starts Here! will focus on new innovations sparking the creativity of entrepreneurs throughout California, technologies that are transforming industries and Hispanic millennials and Latinas who are forging their own paths in business.

Attendees will participate in workshops focused on tools for business owners, California energy and water issues, procurement opportunities for small business, and strengthening the state’s Hispanic Chamber of Commerce network and business community.

“There is no better time for the spotlight to be on the Inland Empire. The region has a growing economy, it is a great place for families and has a very diverse population”, said CHCC Chairman Frank Montes.  “According to U.S. Census data released this last December. There are more than 122,000 Latino owned companies which generate almost $11 billion annually when you combine Riverside and San Bernardino counties numbers”, stated Juan P. Garcia Deputy Director, California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce

The pre convention activities will feature the annual California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Golf Classic on September 20, 2016 at Oak Quarry Golf Club.

The convention’s opening day will focus on International Trade & Millennials and Innovation. Latina Empresaria Day will celebrate the success of women business owners and professionals.; and conclude with an appreciation reception to acknowledge the small businesses that responded to the San Bernardino shootings.  The final day of the convention theme will be Business & Chamber Day.
