San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board Travels to D.C.

A delegation of 3 from the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board was one of 10 teams nationwide invited to Washington, D.C. to showcase its newly designed strategy for greeting customers at the county’s AJCC’s.

The San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board was selected as one of ten teams nationwide to showcase its Customer-Centered Design strategy recently implemented at the America’s Job Centers of California (AJCC). Gustavo Cisneros, Jennifer Sowards, and Riccardo Canova (pictured left to right) represented the Workforce Development Board at the White House during the Learning Exchange and Celebration event in January in Washington, D.C.  The trio represented the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board as a leading innovator of best practices.

Gustavo Cisneros led a session to other staff members from Workforce Development Boards across the nation on San Bernardino County’s newly implemented concierge service aimed at identifying the specific needs of each customer and directing them to the appropriate resources.

Ten teams from across the nation representing various Workforce Development Boards converged at the White House in January.  They participated in the Department of Labor’s Customer-Centered Design strategy.  San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board was selected to showcase its concierge-style strategy during the conference.
