San Bernardino #FlightBlight Cleanup Days

San Bernardino, CA – There are positive changes happening in the City of San Bernardino! On Saturday, September 24, the Quality of Life Team will be hosting a Community #FightBlight Cleanup at Perris Hill Park in San Bernardino. Citizens in the community are being asked to join together with the Police Department, Department of Public Works, Mayor’s Office, City Manager’s Office, CalTrans and Burrtec in an effort to rid blight from the City. California State University San Bernardino has already committed 30 student volunteers to help with the cleanup and are hoping to recruit additional local businesses as well.

The Community Cleanup Days are being planned on a quarterly basis and will coincide with the free city dump days that have been pre-established. The Quality of Life Team is dedicated to improving the overall quality of life for the residents, businesses, as well as visitors throughout the City of San Bernardino. We feel this can be accomplished through problem recognition and problem solving.

Goals of this team include:

This year we started the #FightBlight Cleanup Day program focused on main streets in the city. The next community cleanup day is scheduled for Saturday, September 24 at 7 a.m. at Perris Hill Park.
