San Bernardino: Grand Opening Of Dorothy Inghram Learning Center on Feb. 4th

San Bernardino, CA – The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office will hold a grand opening ceremony of the newly renovated San Bernardino County Board of Education Dorothy Inghram Learning Center on Feb. 4.

The center, which is located at 670 E. Carnegie Drive in San Bernardino, will have its grand opening ceremony from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 4. San Bernardino County Superintendent Ted Alejandre will be present to lead the proceedings, which are free and open to the public.

The facility will be home to the County Board of Education’s monthly meetings, as well as house County Schools’ Regional Occupational Program (ROP). The ROP is holding newly offered cybersecurity classes at the Dorothy Inghram Learning Center, as well as ROP administrative offices.

In addition, the East Valley Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) has its administrative offices in the facility.

The facility is named after Dorothy Inghram, the first African-American teacher and district superintendent in San Bernardino County.

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools serves as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 K-12 school districts in the county. The office works in collaboration with school districts, other agencies, families and the community at-large to ensure success for the 403,000 K-12 students in San Bernardino County.
