Visit San Bernardino Parks This Memorial Day Weekend for Loads of Family Fun

Activities to Include Opening of Swim Season, Gypsy Dinner Show at Calico Ghost Town

San Bernardino Parks are the place to be this Memorial Day weekend, as the annual swim season opens and Gypsy dancers perform at a dinner show at Calico Ghost Town Regional Park.

Cool swimming lagoons, lakes and water-slides will open for the season at four San Bernardino County parks on Saturday, May 26 – Glen Helen, Cucamonga-Guasti, Yucaipa, and Lake Gregory.  The swimming facilities will remain open on weekends (plus Memorial Day) through mid-June, when weekday swim hours begin.

The parks are an ideal spot to bring a picnic lunch, relax and sunbathe on sandy beaches or cool off with a dip in the water.  All four parks also feature thrilling water-slide features.  For details on hours, locations, entry fees and more, visit http://cms.sbcounty.gov/parks/Activities/Swimming.aspx.

All of San Bernardino’s swim facilities have trained lifeguards on duty and first-aid stations.  Special rates are available for larger organized groups such as scout troops or schools, and it’s even possible to reserve time for a private party. Call your park to ask for details.

Zero-depth water play parks are also available at Cucamonga-Guasti, Glen Helen, Lake Gregory, Prado, Moabi and Mojave Narrows.

For those who prefer their entertainment dry, check out the Calico Ghost Town Dinner Show, featuring the Calico Gypsies, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 27.
