SAN BERNARDINO: Patton State Hospital Employees Contribute to the Local Community

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – Over the last year, Patton State Hospital employees have contributed over $42,000 to support programs throughout the local community. The Hospital and its employees participate in the California State Employees Charitable Campaign every year.

“This last year has been really tough on state employees with taking furlough days and pay cuts, but yet they felt the need in our community and donated generously toward the campaign. I commend Patton employees for their generosity and compassion,” stated Carlos Luna, Executive Director, Patton State Hospital.
One of the many organizations that benefit from the Hospital’s efforts is Arrowhead United Way which is a volunteer organization that actively supports health and human services by focusing on education, income, and health. These services address the underlying causes of the community’s issues and create lasting change.

Arrowhead United Way was established in 1891 and is led by prominent respected community leaders; it is one of the oldest United Ways in the country. Arrowhead United Way encourages individuals to become more involved in the community by giving, advocating, and volunteering.
