There is no charge for the event, and attendance is open to the public.
Rev. Walton is an actress and a minister in the United Church of Christ. The one-woman dramatic presentation takes place on the stage in Decker Hall at Pilgrim Place, followed by a reception across the street at the Napier Center for Creative Change. There is no charge for either event.
During the reception, guests will have a chance to meet Rev. Walton. There will also be a display of art in The Napier Center. All of the pieces displayed were selected because they demonstrate the importance of the role of art in movements of social change.
The Napier Center for Creative Change is one of three recently completed structures at Pilgrim Place designated as LEED buildings, meeting the sustainable requirements of LEED, an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a program of the U.S. Green Building Council.
Founded in 1915, Pilgrim Place is a retirement community for Christian missionaries, clergy, and those who have spent their life in a variety of religious and humanitarian nonprofit professions. These are people who wish to continue their lifelong service and outreach to others while exploring new opportunities for personal growth and learning.
