Soren McAdam Christenson (SMC) Announces New Partner Julia Cox

REDLANDS, California, March 21, 2013 – Soren McAdam Christenson LLP announced that Julia Cox has been promoted to the position of Partner. Cox specializes in financial reporting, accounting for complex transactions, inventory, revenue recognition, mergers and acquisitions, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance programs, evaluation of internal controls, and employee benefit plans. She is the lead technical quality reviewer for all financial statement reports issued by SMC.

Cox contributes more than 21 years of accounting experience to the firm, including auditing and consulting experience for both publicly and privately held companies in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail industries. “I really enjoy looking into the complexities of accounting that our clients experience, and helping them understand and take actions based on real and accurate information,” stated Cox.

Cox earned a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from San Diego State University. She worked for 14 years with Ernst & Young LLP before moving to SMC. She is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and contributes to the community as a Board Member and Finance Committee Member of the United Way of the InlandValleys.

Cox enjoys traveling to attend equestrian vaulting competitions (gymnastics on horseback) and is the official videographer for the American Vaulting Association, a nonprofit organization dedicating to growing the sport of equestrian vaulting.
