Southern California Public Power Authority have extended their Hybrid Solar Heat Pump Installation Agreement.

SCPPA ACDC12 Install Agreement Extended Through 2018

Loma Linda, CA –  D48 Energy Management through its subsidiary, Securus Air and Southern California Public Power Authority have extended their Hybrid Solar Heat Pump Installation Agreement.

Securus Air and Southern California Public Power Authority, (SCPPA) have recently extended their ACDC12 hybrid solar heat pump installation agreement through June 2019. “This agreement extension will allow us to build on our initial installation successes as SCPPA members begin to analyze the power consumption data and realize the ACDC12 system’s various stand alone and augmentation energy efficiency benefits”, stated Mark Walsh, Manager at Securus Air.

The 1-Ton, ACDC12 hybrid solar heat pump saves more than 90% on heating and cooling costs operating primarily on up to 900-watts of solar power connected directly to the unit during the day with small amounts of utility power mixed in as needed. At night and in low light the ACDC12 seamlessly transitions into a 21-SEER, grid powered mini-split.

SCPPA members with installed ACDC12 solar hybrid systems include; the City of Colton Electric Utility and Pasadena Water and Power. Third party power data collection has been implemented through a DEED grant with the American Power Producers Association.

The ACDC12 solar component is not grid tied and can use up to 900-watts of PV at 30-39 volts direct current during the main daylight hours. In addition to effectively cooling or heating 300 to 600 square feet 24/7, the system allows you to easily climate control additions, deploy in stressed power environments or add capacity and reduce loads on existing HVAC systems.
