Spanish EZ Workshop to cover state tax credits that can lower your tax bill

Deadline to claim SBVEZ tax credits nears

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Sept. 04, 2013) – On September 24, Spanish-speaking business owners will have a chance to learn how to utilize Enterprise Zone tax incentives and get an update on the effects of Assembly Bill 93.. Armando Jamjian, CPA and managing director of Encore Tax Consulting Group, will lead the Spanish-speaking workshop, which will be held at the City of Colton Council Chambers, 650 N. La Cadena Drive in Colton from 8 am to 10 am.

Jamjian will address attendees in Spanish and discuss how these tax credits work, how they can be applied to local businesses and how to file for them. Spanish speaking business owners will get the latest information about how businesses can act now to save money on their future state taxes before the credits expire.

With only a few months left to secure enterprise zone credits, the SBVEZ is encouraging all San Bernardino and Colton-area businesses to find out if they qualify before time runs out. Any new hires or taxes paid on certain equipment purchases made prior to December 31 deadline may be eligible for SBVEZ credits.

The workshop will also provide information about the Governor’s new tax incentive program, and the business assistance programs that are available through the County of San Bernardino Workforce Development Department.

To register for the workshop contact Wendy Clements at 909.382.4538, or info@sbvez.com.
