Spanish Interpretation/Translation in Schools Certificate Offered

Spanish Interpretation/Translation in Schools Certificate Offered

In the last few decades, Southern California has experienced a tremendous increase in its Spanish-speaking population. For school employees, high quality interpretation and translation is essential when working with Spanish-speaking students and parents. In response to this need and in cooperation with both the Riverside County Office of Education and The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Office, Cal State San Bernardino’s College of Extended Learning is proud to offer its Certificate Course in Spanish Interpretation and Translation in the School Setting. This course is for practicing interpreters/translators and those interested in entering the field.

Attendees should be proficient in conversational Spanish at the high school level. The course meets for five Saturdays (April 14 and 28; May 5, 12 and 19) from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Yasuda Center at Cal State University San Bernardino. It can also be held, by advance arrangement, at your school or office. The cost is $265 per person, and optional credit is available for this course. For more information, to register, or receive a free spring Course
