Special Election – March 25th, State Senate

Inland Empire, CA- A special election for the 23rd State Senate seat will be held tomorrow, March 25, 2014 to fill vacancy after resignation of Senator Bill Emmerson.

Emmerson announced his resignation in November, explaining a loss of passion for the job. A Redlands resident, Emmerson served as a representative for the Inland Empire since 2004, when he was elected to the Assembly. He won his state Senate seat in 2010.

The district encompasses a wide arc of the Inland Empire, circling clockwise from Rancho Cucamonga in the northwest to Menifee in the south. It also includes several resort communities in the San Bernardino Mountains and a sliver of the High Desert.
