Riverside, CA. Opal Singleton is the Director of Development and Board Member for two related organizations, Rapha House International and Million Kids.Org. Both organizations exist to combat human trafficking wherever it is found. Human Trafficking is a serious issue in Riverside County.
Ms. Singleton has developed a program called “The Love Trap” to educate teenagers about being coerced or seduced into prostitution, pimping, drug carrying and selling rings. “The Love Trap” program is designed to educate parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors, social workers, Church Leaders, Law Enforcement and Civic Leaders about Teen Trafficking specific to the Inland Empire. She has trained over 1500 Government employees and well over 10,000 Private, Civic and Community leaders about the issues of Sex and Labor Trafficking in the United States and Globally.
As Director of Development Opal works with Rapha House International and just recently returned from Cambodia working with a significant human trafficking case. Rapha House serves nearly 1000 kids who are at risk or have been trafficked or exploited. Opal works with their vocational development programs and setting up a program for very young children (under 10) who are recovering from sexual exploitation. Opal was recently awarded the “Ruby Award” by Riverside Soroptomist Club for her work in combating Human Trafficking.

“Sex Trafficking is a significant and emerging issue for today’s young people. Gangs and Predators are focused on recruiting unsuspecting victims and ensnaring them into a life of sexual exploitation and violence. I appreciate the opportunity to teach others about how to recognize the signs of recruitment and more important how to protect themselves against becoming a victim of sex trafficking.”
