Business and civic leaders from across the Inland Empire will gather at California Baptist University on Wednesday, May 8 to take on the tough fiscal and economic issues facing Southern California to offer diverse and innovative solutions, at the Strategic Business Summit. The event, organized by Build Business Leaders Organization (BuildLeaders.org), will feature prominent and influential community leaders, who will field questions related to taxes, fiscal policies and economic challenges in the Inland Empire and the region from two moderators.
“As a part of our mission to educate, unite, build and connect business leaders to influence the business community and improve the economics of the local community, we organize Strategic Business Summit panels to discuss current issues facing companies and business.” Said the event organizer in a statement released from Build Business Leaders Organization (BuildLeaders.org). This event is one of three Strategic Business Summits to be held in Southern California this year. Following each panel discussion is a question and answer period, followed by a business networking opportunity.
Panelists for the May 8 event include: Rhodes Rigby, Mayor of the City of Loma Linda who also serves as Executive Director of Home Care Services and Doctor of Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center; Assemblyman Tim Donnelly who represents the 33rd Assembly District which covers a large swath of San Bernardino County stretching from Big Bear, to Hesperia and all the way to Needles; Commissioner Tom Freeman who is responsible for the County of Riverside’s diplomatic trade, export and foreign direct investment programs and strategies; City of Redlands Council Member Jon Harrison who is also a long time manager at ESRI; Roy Paulson, President of Paulson Manufacturing in Temecula and Director of Paulson International Ltd, Germany, which specialize in safety and security products; Jan Steiner, President and CEO of Thoro Packaging in Corona, which manufactures paperboard cartons and packages; City of Corona Mayor Pro Tem Karen Spiegel, who has served as an elected official in Corona since 2002 and also owns an e-commerce and publishing company; and Vincent McCoy, an experienced small business expert and Executive Director of the Inland Empire Small Business Development Centers.
