EASTVALE, CA (September 21, 2011) – The City of Eastvale is beginning the process of creating its first General Plan. The Eastvale General Plan will allow the City to chart its own future, fulfilling one of the basic promises of incorporation: local control.
“The City’s General Plan will reflect the needs and desires of the Eastvale community. This document will provide a blueprint for future development and help to create a healthy and sustainable City,” said Mayor Adam Rush.
The document will address several topics of importance to Eastvale that are not addressed in County’s General Plan, including Economic Development, Community Health, Sustainability and Community Design.
The public will have many opportunities to get involved by attending public meetings and reviewing drafts of the General Plan and its environmental analysis. About the Eastvale General Plan
The General Plan is a long-range plan that addresses the topics vital to creating a thriving, well-balanced and sustainable community. The Eastvale General Plan will carry forward elements of the County of Riverside General Plan and add goals and policies that address Eastvale-specific issues identified by the City Council and Planning Commission. Chapters in the General Plan will include Land Use, Circulation, Housing, Conservation, Safety, Economics, Design, Healthy Community and Arts and Culture.
