Sustainability, Economic Development, Land Use Changes And More Will Be Addressed In The City Of Eastvale’s First General Plan

EASTVALE, CA (September 21, 2011) – The City of Eastvale is beginning the process of creating its first General Plan. The Eastvale General Plan will allow the City to chart its own future, fulfilling one of the basic promises of incorporation: local control.

“The City’s General Plan will reflect the needs and desires of the Eastvale community. This document will provide a blueprint for future development and help to create a healthy and sustainable City,” said Mayor Adam Rush.

The document will address several topics of importance to Eastvale that are not addressed in County’s General Plan, including Economic Development, Community Health, Sustainability and Community Design.

The public will have many opportunities to get involved by attending public meetings and reviewing drafts of the General Plan and its environmental analysis.  The public can stay up to date through the project website, www.EastvaleGeneralPlan.com and via the General Plan’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.

About the Eastvale General Plan
