Riverside Swimming Lessons

City pools to host swimming lessons for all ages this summer!

Riverside, CA – The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department have partnered with the American Red Cross to provide swimming lessons this summer for swimmers as young as 6 months to adults 18 years of age or older. Swimmers are tested on their swim skill level the first day of class and placed in the appropriate class, depending on their age and abilities. All lessons are taught by American Red Cross certified instructors.

Adult Classes are designed to introduce the inexperienced adult to the water and gain confidence while improving their swimming skills. Adults are placed into one of three levels depending on skill level – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each level incorporates all skills taught in the previous level.

Each session for youth and adult classes are 30-minutes in length and are offered in 2-week sessions. Classes begin June 18 and end August 9. Cost per session is $48 per session/ $72 Non-Resident. Registration for swimmers is available either by walk-in, mail-in or online at RivReg.org. Registration via mail-in/walk-in must be received at least two weeks prior to the session starting date. Registration is available at the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department or at any community center. A credit card, check or money order is made payable to City of Riverside, PRCSD.
