Technical Employment Training Opens House For Prospective Students

Technical Employment Training, Inc. (TET) will hold an open house for prospective students interested in manufacturing trades and machine tools training courses.  Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the computer lab as well as observe demonstrations of state-of-the-art machines that students use for hands-on training to earn two National Institute for Metalworking Skills Machining Level 1 certifications.

Workforce development organizations that have supported previous students of the TET program will be present to talk to prospective students about their eligibility for assistance.

Skilled machinists are in strong demand by local manufacturers as many skilled workers in this field are nearing retirement age. TET, a 501(c)3 non-profit business and education cooperative, is one of the few machining schools whose students earn two national certifications, and also enjoys a very strong job placement record. The school placed 90% of its first class in jobs and placed 50% of its second class who will graduate later this month and 10% of its third class, which will graduate in July.
