The 2011 Senior Health and Resource Fair

At the Fontana Community Senior Center

Fontana, California — The Mayor and the City Council invite the public to attend this year’s FREE Senior Health and Resource Fair! The Annual Senior Health and Resource Fair is on Wednesday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fontana Community Senior Center at 16710 Ceres Avenue.

This year’s theme is “BE STRONG: Mind, Body, and Soul” and will feature a variety of health and wellness related information, screenings, and access to essential community resources.

“This event is so important for seniors and their family members to attend,” says Melba Kirby, a senior resident in the City of Fontana who attended last year’s event. Kirby, among other visitors of the Fontana Community Senior Center, found the health information and resources provided were “very useful.” Most people who attended last year, plan to attend again this year.

The 2011 Senior Health and Resource Fair is free to the public and will provide health screenings such as stroke risk assessments, blood pressure, skin damage, glucose and body fat. Information on legal services, health care plans, medical equipment, personal training and so much more will also be available. The event promises to give you all of the knowledge, information, and tools so that you can start or continue to live a strong and healthy life.
